Showcases are not Meaningful Announcements

I can't say they aren't announcements because technically anything you draw attention to and refer to as an announcement is an announcement.
With that being said: The announcements aren't really worthy of calling them, "Announcements." People are really only looking at that thread to see when new game updates are coming, or when changes to the game engine, environment, items, etc are coming down the pipeline. My advice is for GGG to create a thread called, "Showcases." This will solve the issue of populating the announcement's thread to make it look like more is happening with the game than is right now. It will also allow players and readers to have a dedicated forum spot for all of the, "Announcements," unrelated to actual game development. Posts that appear in the announcements forum are hooked up into the news section on https://pathofexile2.com/home
Same as the PoE1 announcements accessed via the homepage here |

sounds like your issue is more to do with lack of developer feedback than the announcements forum
