Incinerate - cast on ignite (ember fusillade)
I have been playing a stormweaver using incinerate as main skill, continuously channeling it, and cast on ignite with ember fusillade socketed, for a very long time now.
It's my first charactere that i brought to very end game. I think it may have some bugs, maybe it's me who doesnt use it properly, if that's the case please let me know. The problem i encounter is that ember fusillade doesnt always fire the projectiles when reaching maximum embers. I am wondering if, as long as the ennemy is being ignite, the spell keep casting itself to generate more ember, even if at maximum. I have to wait that the ignite on the ennemy stop for it to send the embers. It seem as if, manualy casting, i would keep pressing the key to generate more ember without stopping to spam the key, delaying the effect to send the actual embers generated like that. Not sure if i'm being clear, a bit hard to explain. To counter this i basicly run around waiting for the ignite to stop and my ember to be sended. I dont think it is intended to work like that? A lot of time, on more regular monsters, it doesnt really pose any problem and it fire regulary, even if not at max ember. But when i am facing large monsters or bosses, it start to really bug and keep stacking ember around me until the ignite stop after i waited. I am wondering also, related to that, if the ignited ground doesnt ignite large monsters multiple times, depending on how many tiles larges they are. Because it's usualy facing large monsters that i face problems with what seem to be an infinite loop of ignite, blocking the firering of the embers. I've noticed it also if swapping ember fusillade for comet for exemple, on large monsters it just drop comets continously draining all the mana and stopping when out of mana. As soon as a bit of mana regen or using my mana flask it cast another one and so on. Making it impossible to actualy gain mana back unless stopping and waiting for the ignite to stop. The mana problem is the same with ember fusillade but with this one the added problem is that the embers are stuck and so it doesnt fire nothing. Since it isnt always the case and sometimes it fire correctly i'm not sure what is exactly happening, but i think something is wrong with cast on ignite overall, and maybe with incinerate and ignited ground. Now it is about the only thing i found that can make fire spell somewhat viable in end game. I know the team is working on the less used spells to see how to improve them viability in end game. The combo would work great if it was more consistent, slightly less cast but still powerfull cast. - I think the main problem of cast on ignite would come from the amount of ignite happening on large monsters. Maybe it need to be less ignite at once but one stronger ignite? - For ember fusillade i have the impression that it just doesnt always stop when reaching max ember to fire them as it should do. Again, it feel very powerfull when everything fire, but overall it just make it unreliable and i'm not asking for a nerf for sure since fire is no the easiest to play with.
