monk feedback

the monk has a great theme, however the class has 2 problems from the onset

1. very squishy, with very low damage atks.

If you are goign to design a class that cant take a hit, then its damage has to comepensate for that, which it doesnt.

2. monk has animation lock.

this means that you cannot break off an atk and dodge.

this is an issue because the class is so squishy.

On my merc, I can dodge and break out of whatever atk i was doing.

with the monk, you are commited to that atk and cant break into a dodge.

which-- again comes full circle to how squishy the class is.

if you want the class to use active defenses, then stop making us locked into our atk.

why can i dodge whenever I want on my merc, but not on the monk?

and lastly


the monk charges--- can we move this out of the upper left hand corner? so it is alot more visable?11

you have absolutly shafted the monk
not only have you removed most of its protection ie the shield you have also mwade damn sure the bell and the quaterstaff hit less than a quater than what it was yet in the meantime your huntress whirlwind kills everything before you even see the monsters so i dont get your hatred for the monk.
the witch, soucerous,huntress untouchable they are so hyped up yet you massivly destroy the monk please revisit this as many i know are fed up as there is no point being a monk in your game anymore.

Sorc player here. We aren't untouchable.... easily the squishiest character in the game until we get chaos inoculation and 5k+ ES.... which isn't cheap. My monk is able to evade quite a bit and have ES with CI. Pretty much immune to half the damage in the game and evading the other half.


What they really need to do is up evasion chance to evade and make true up close meele attacks give +200% stun threshold.

I have not played sorc yet, but my cousin and I started the same time, he went sorc and is burning through t14 content, I struggled on the monk hard, lagged behind him in the campaign, had to have him bail me out and feed me ex. to get up to where he is, and I still just die. By the way, my Cousin was a casual ARPG player at best, I've played them all.. D3/D4 (most time in D3) I got into gaming for D2. Its literally why I bought a computer back in the day. I got PoE early on (honestly not my cup of tea) Last E. and now this. My point is only to say, sorc may not be perfect, but a total noob, not following a guide burned through the game and mapping insanely fast. It can't be that bad.
