Loot Disappearing

Not sure if this is an intended mechanic but I killed the hyena boss and then died before getting a chance to loot and when I resurrected all the loot was gone. This has happened with small mobs, death seems to "clear" the area of all loot. Overly punishing if intended.

I have the same problem.

loot drops on the floor disappears when i die

It's intended, instance restarts when player dies, that's the only punishment.

This is happening to me when I don't die. I kill anything not just bosses that drops loot seconds later it disappears. I have to loot instantly or I lose it all. Also no gold is dropping, well it kind is but it goes so fast you dont even have time to see it. So now it is a bug.

This sounds like you turned Item Highlighting off. Press Z.

Just tried that hasnt made a difference but i have now noticed the items are still there I'm just unable to loot it if i dont in a certain time frame and they are highlighted when they drop. The gold is not highlighted but pressing Z does nothing

Look at the answers in loot disappearance and Dropped Loot Disappearing.

And there is an UI option to turn on "always highlight items" for activating it automatically after each game start (or character load?).
