I noticed this especially after installing windows 10 fresh in an attempt to keep from power cycling on hard crashes. On a fresh install with only poe 2 on my pc we qill see how that goes shortly. But now nvidia is detecting poe 2 corrrectly and giving alot more optimization options. Im wondering if people who had poe 1 installed on their pcs have noticed this? I thought it may be the case but its def confirmed after a fresh format. Are the games sharing files or something? Idk much, but maybe its causing shader errors or something as far as the driver is concerned

Yep, I found this thread in a Google search because I'm experiencing the same problem. Not certain if it is actually a problem per se.
Edit: I note POE is on the list of supported games, but not POE2: https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/software/nvidia-app/supported-games-apps/ 最後に Draxonic#2969 が 2024/12/18 23:19:11 に編集

You guys fixed this? I can't still see it

this isnt something GGG has control over, its up to Nvidia to fix their software, GGG could surely contact nvidia about it but its most likely gonna be way faster resolved if you wrote to nv about it - considering its popularity and GGG having their hands tied working on act4-6 and classes.
also, dont rely on apps to handle your performance - u can get way more out of your GPU/CPU by tweaking manually =) 最後に pinimo#0250 が 2024/12/24 0:35:20 に編集

it's strange because the latest driver included improvements to poe2 but they did not change that naming issue.

Problem is the naming scheme of executables. Both have same file names. So driver detects incorrectly. GGG should rename the executables so that they can be distinguished by the display driver.

Solution: In windows settings look up "Graphics settings". This is the screen where in the top left you will see the option for Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling. At the bottom of the screen is the option to set "Graphics Performance Preference". Using the browse option add both the Poe2 exe files and set them both to High performance. Somehow by adding both exe files it magically makes Nvidia see the game as POE2 and you will see it show correctly in the Nvidia apps.

For me it it the other way around. My Nvidia App has two entries named "Path of Exile 2" but one of them is actually PoE1. I think the problem is that both games have the same executable name "PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe" and I hope GGG just puts the "2" in the game executable of PoE2. I have not found a solution to the problem. The "Solution" posted here does nothing for me.
