Unprogress bug in the ordeal of chaos

I am reporting this as it is probably a bug.
I was unable to progress in the ordeal of chaos today.
It is the stage where you carry orbs and place 3 of them on a pedestal.
The key items had been placed on the pedestal before the update and were left in place.
Not sure if this is the cause.
I have a picture, but I don't know how to put it up.
