Game Hangs then Map Resets (still accepts user input)

No trend noticed yet but sporadically my game will hang as if experiencing incredible network lag (vs hard freezing), but often fade to a black screen. After 5-10 seconds it will restore to where I was (sometimes instance is "paused" as if I've just zoned in an have protection) but the map fog of war will have been reset. Monster state is identical, no other discernable changes. All checkpoints on map become revealed even if previous undiscovered and I can port to any of them, even though they're in fog of war. Fog is cleared with any movement as expected as if that recovered spot was spawn location and no other travel had occurred.

I can press escape to pause the game, and it will be in the menu state when it recovers. If I can generate useful logs when this occurs, please advise how and I will do so.

Updating this 2 months later, issue still occurs, happens several times a day, was introduced as a problem in Dawn of the Hunt. I have completed clean installs of the game, did not help.
