Suggestion to Introduce Rewards for Leaderboard Achievements in Path of Exile 2

Dear Path of Exile 2 Development Team,

First, I want to thank you for your incredible work on Path of Exile 2. The level of craftsmanship, passion, and innovation you’ve poured into the game is clear, and it has made the experience deeply rewarding for so many players like myself.

I’m writing to propose an idea that I believe would further enhance player engagement and honor the incredible time, effort, and passion that many players invest: implementing a small but meaningful reward for achieving a spot on the leaderboard.

While leveling and pushing the limits of a character is already an exciting and fulfilling experience, most players naturally taper off once the immediate sense of progress slows. However, a reward system tied to leaderboard placement — even something symbolic, such as a unique cosmetic, title, or badge — could serve as a lasting reminder of a player's achievement. It would give players a concrete way to show their hard work and commitment, both to themselves and the community.

Some points I hope you will consider:

Sustained Engagement: Rewards would encourage players to continue leveling and pushing even after the initial stages of the game, extending the natural lifespan of each league or season.

Recognition of Dedication: Reaching the leaderboard often requires hundreds or even thousands of hours of mastery, strategy, and resilience. Recognizing this effort fosters loyalty and pride among the most dedicated members of the community.

Community Spirit: Bragging rights, friendly rivalry, and aspirational goals are powerful tools for keeping the community active and motivated over the long term.

Accessibility: The rewards don’t need to be game-altering or grandiose; a small visual marker or an account-bound cosmetic is enough. The value lies in the symbolism, not necessarily the material.

Path of Exile has always respected the idea that true achievement is earned, not bought. I believe that a thoughtful leaderboard reward system would align perfectly with that spirit — celebrating real accomplishments without disrupting balance or fairness.

I would love them to do leaderboards, like an arcade style. I'd love to find rewards for making it to them.

There is a Leveling leaderboard also known as the "ladder". They Have this for each league. This is what i am suggesting rewards for.

They only do that for race events. That is what Demigods are used for. They have done 2-weeks and 1-month events with rewards in the past for Poe1. They probably intend to do that for Poe2 someday.

Their idea for rewards during temporary leagues in Poe1 are based on challenges though. I would assume that it would be the same for Poe2 as well. They probably intend to encourage people to explore the new content, instead of rushing for XP. Many league specific content might not be XP-efficient.
