One skill gem of type max - seems like another Build Diversity killer.

Again, just me, toying with my warriors. And i started thinking, what if i want to toy around with bleeding enemies. Yet, you can only have one gem of a kind. So a single skill is limited to being able to reliably bleed, barring any extra passive or mods that may have 'bleed on hit'. Doesnt seem like much.

Is it just me, or is POE2 extremely lacking build diversity?

Yep, its just another factor that makes build diversity so much worse. They want people to play with a specific set of gems, at this point why not just make pre-built builds in the game lmao

This 1 support gem limit is the most pointless game design I've seen. Yeah let's limit our players in a game all about making cool builds.

I agree. I have quit playing PoE 2 because of this.
You give players whatever they want on each skill, you will end up with the same diversity as is now. People will just find the most broken setup and this will dominate the game, which will be then adjusted in difficulty against these OP builds, making pretty much any other build too weak to play.

The only way to introduce better build diversity is to give a reason to players to find new builds and play with build-experimentation.

That means nerfing over-performing builds to the fucking ground as soon as they appear. Is there a build that killed the boss in less than 15 second? Investigate how was that possible and take immediate action to nerf it.

Players are actually quite smart and can find so many interactions, but they have no reason to do so if they have Lightning Spear to click once and delete entire screen.
