Trial Of The Sekhemas

99.99999999999999% of this part of the game is a boring walking simulator with the single most boring gameplay I have ever seen in any game ever and absolutely 0 loot or threats and barely any combat at all. I literally had more fun cutting down trees in New World than this mode.

Meanwhile the unfair, unfun, and potentially unavoidable debuffs can suddenly jack up the difficulty of the bosses by 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% and make them suddenly borderline impossible for the vast majority of builds. Great, love that I was forced to lose every meaningful stat for my character and also the boss has way more hp, damage, attack speed, movement speed etc...easily the worst implementation of artificial difficulty of all time. Sure am glad that all that running around with actually 0 threat for all those rooms suddenly turns into an impossible fight a freaking hour later.

Gating Ascendancy points behind this mode is making it really hard to avoid this content and I cannot possibly stress enough just how poorly designed this mode is and how much of a chore it is and how it is a grand total of 0 fun in any way shape or form. This mode is literally so bad I straight up called up my boss and asked to come in and work on a Saturday just so I can go to work and stand around doing nothing for 12 hours because that is going to be more fun and take my mind off my last 3 hours of wasted life.
