Skeletons Are Constantly "on Cooldown" in Boss Fights in the Early Acts

As a summoner, the only way to level (with Minion skills) is with RS (Raging Spirits). Any/all skeletal skills are pointless in the early acts as they are constantly on cooldown in boss fights (when it matters).

Skeletons on their own, don't deal enough damage to validate their squishiness, and they aren't tanky enough to validate their crappy damage. In every boss battle, Skeletons are consistently on cooldown waiting to be revived (in the early acts).

Out of all of my experiences with Skeletons, through all of the patches since launch (and I've restarted many times), skeletons need to be suplimented for the user to progress. The skeletons will be dead for 90% of every boss battle (in the early acts) but the user won't notice as much because of RS, Decaying Hex, or whatever. No matter the investment (Minion Damage, Minion survivability, or minion revive time), Skeletal skills are quite useless in the early acts. But, considering that all the summoner is offered outside of RS or Zombies (Zombies need their own post to explain their pointlessness) are skeletal skills, it's sad that the basic archetype has been so overlooked for 6 months now.

The basic Archetype needs the default minion skills (Skeletons) to be capable of the content they need to get through. Currently, without RS, minion players have to play something non-minion to eventually get to a state where minions can survive.

Please consider a sweeping balance to minion skills for "league start" playthroughs. The minion levelling experience is in a pretty neglected state.

I don't think this is going to change much because they want everyone to be doing something actively. If skeles were just fine on their own early on, you would just be standing around. I've done minions on league start in both 0.1.0 and 0.2.0 in SSF and did use fire spells and RS to start, but I could have probably used some other random spells and been alright.

I don't agree that the minion levelling experience is in a neglected state and I had a much smoother time with it in 0.2.0 than in 0.1.0. I look forward to them doing more balancing with spectres, however.

I hear where you're coming from. I still don't think there's s point to skeletons being available that early if they cannot survive. So even if the user is supposed to be active, skeletons at least should be alive and week as opposed to mostly dead.

I haven't come across any minion player that's leveled without RS and been able to progress.
