Frequent Lag Spikes in POE2

Last couple of days I have been experiencing insane lag in the game, constant ping spikes and eventually disconnection. My internet is perfect, I have low ping on other games. I did everything I could including reinstalling the game but nothing works.

I realised this is POE1 support so I wanted to test my ping in POE1 as well. Unfortunately even in POE 1 same issue. Unplayable.

Noticed another thing.
The ping is perfect when I launch the game after a while.
The first map I run is perfect.
As soon as I come out of the map and into my hideout, the ping spikes start.
Not sure what causes this but this is how the spiking begins. Until that the ping is perfectly alright.

I am running in to the same thing and after trying everything still have issues. Some days its okay, others unplayable. I would suggest just not playing on the bad days. It might be a good point to stop playing altogether until they decide to improve servers.

i had this happen yesterday. load up, ping fine (25 is normal for me, this was 40 but a stable 40). enter map, insane ping spikes to over 200 every 2 seconds making it unplayable because i was skipping around. restart game and load back into same map, ping normal. go back to hideout, ping spikes every 2 seconds. take portal to same map as before and immediately take the portal back to hideout, ping normal.

it seems to be dependent on a specific entry to an instance and not tied directly to each instance. I ended up just quitting playing because i didn't want the citadel run i was about to do be ruined with a ping spike induced death.
