Players getting pushed around
I've been playing a lot of this game since EA launched and I can say with confidence at this point that the most frustrating deaths for me come from getting pushed around. It's either unintuitive, or jarring to gameplay, or both in many circumstances. For example, when two monsters try to push you in (even slightly) different directions at the same time, your screen gets jerked around and it's difficult to react to anything. Also, it's really cool that you can dodge under a lot of things, but why isn't it more clear/intuitive which things you can dodge under? Why doesn't the part of the dodge mechanic where you are smaller for collision seem to interact with the size of collision boxes for getting pushed around at all? And why the actual fuck can't I roll under Queen of Filth when she does her slam attack? She leaves the ground; seems like I should be able to roll under her... It seems like you took inspiration from Souls-likes for the dodge mechanic. If you want to continue to emphasize the dodge roll over character movement speed and abilities, you need to take further inspiration from Souls games and make sure the collision and hit/hurt box interactions with dodging are tight and intuitive (or even forgiving).
To be clear, I like the idea of the dodge roll. But there are places where it causes frustration not because the dodge is difficult to time, but because the things that happen when dodge meets other mechanics are often unintuitive or just disorienting for the user. 最後に drkekyll#1294 が 2025/05/24 13:44:52 に編集 最後にスレッドがバンプされた時間 時刻 2025/05/24 13:40:40
