The only builds that work in POE2 are meta screen clearing builds. Your "vision" is a different genre of game. Try Elden Ring, Dark Souls, No Rest for the Wicked, Lost Ark, Baldurs Gate 3, I could go on.

ARPGs if this variety are about getting super powerful by getting consistently better gear to the point where you are a god. The core customers that play this kind of game want that power creep. If you don't then you are a guy playing a racing game wishing it had some bosses or a guy playing Elden ring complaining it is too hard to beat X boss. You are in the wrong game.

As for POE2 its a dumpster fire because of decisions made to support people with your desires. It will not be a successful product and will go down in history as an epic chance missed. There just aren't enough of YOU to make a viable business mostly because people like you should be playing a different genre.

You just described the players of the ARPG genre which includes Last Epoch, Diablo Series, Path of Exile and few other games. You are in a genre where the core game play is about getting loot to get more powerful.

The most recent fresh data is obviously WAY more reflective of what the player base think since a lot of player that already left their feedback, did it on game release in 0.1.

0.2 completely changed the way the game feels and a lot of players are mad and rightfully so and expressed their views. A lot of players simply left the game and hate it but did not change their initial feedback.

First of all, false equivalent in reviews. The negatives are mostly for 0.2 , and the positive are mostly about 0.1 . You are clearly a new player that don't have any idea on how leagues work and all the debacle happened with them.

This is actually what people want even for Poe 1 players. They don't want the game to be PoE 1 remake, but the reality is, PoE 2 still being built upon PoE 1 foundation, identical system with even more frictions and frustration, hence alot of frustration and complain are being told with comparison of PoE 1 or even from PoE 1 persepctive. Every single problem in PoE 2 has been solved in PoE 1 but GGG refuse to import the solution to the game.

This is a "you" issue. You choose to play off-meta build, you choose to not use the best tools available in the game to acquire resources, when the game clearly tells you that its all about resource acquisition efficiency. And that is the problem, mostly the game design and partially you, not players that use the META build.

First of all, you are nobody. Just like you place yourself like someone important in your sentence, I also can use it myself to make myself more important than you. You have no experience in PoE 1, you don't play PoE 1, and don't know how PoE 1 works so you naturally won't have any grasp about what is wrong in PoE 2.

Second, however I completely agree with you with not making PoE 2 like PoE 1. But its not about "catering to loot addicts", its about making the loot impactful and important. Loot was nerfed heavily, people don't have fun and not enjoying the game so they quit. It would be valid to say that their Vision was right regarding loot IF the loot buffs didn't happen. It proves that those that quit were right enough to make GGG take back their "Vision" regarding loot. So you, among all others that keep promoting making the game "harder,slower" were wrong.

Third, its also not about "loot addiction" because the loot buff changes nothing. I disagree about the loot buffs especially making more currency drop. The changes should be about making itemization better and less randomization, not giving more loot with the current system and yet refuse to implement currency sink. It will just make inflation happen faster, and the top players will still dominate the market. With the current itemization and randomization, giving more loot is the easiest solution that doesn't require any thinking at all because how the game is still balanced and tailored around trading. The changes that need to happen are in the design of itemization, not giving more loot.

TL:DR , OP doesn't know what he/she talking about, and ranting about his/her failure because of his/her lack of understanding of the game and wanting nerfs for those that know how to play the game.

Also, doesn't have any spine and sense of accountability, since OP erases all original post.
