Chat causing stutters - some ways to minimize it

Figured out that chat is causing stutters everytime there comes a message in chat.

For me, the lenght of stutter is short but it still happens.
For my friend, the lenght of stutter is much longer for some reason.

To reduce amount of stutters there is couple things we can do:

1) Join to both Global and Trade where are no other people in.
For example write /trade 5566 into chat to join trade channel 5566.
Same works for global chat by writing /global 5566 as just an example.
Just use the number your own, where you find no people is talking.

2) Via interface options, disable "Output dialogue to chat", so game won't stutter each time your character makes voice line. (By default, voice line are sent to local chat causing a stutter)

3) Write /clear into chat to clear chat and it seems to help some stuttering.

But still for my friend, bosses are the problem because they keep talking (and message sent to local chat) and causing stutters (small game freezes for my friend).

Every thing you to in the game causes stutters.

The ping graph It will show shows the ping from the server to you, when you click on something in game, weather it be an inventory or movement, the ping will double as it shows the ping for your click to the server and then the server sending you feedback of what you just did.

HOWEVER. Since the latest patch, I have been getting lag spikes every few seconds, that is not only lag, it kills frame rate for a split second, even when im playing on my own maps (I have 8ms to my local server) and the longer I have the game logged on the freezes get longer, up to a second (Memory leak) and the combat becomes unplayable unless I relog.

The longer I leave the game Alt-Tabbed (e,g, to chat here) the worse the lag/frame spikes get when I come back to play the game. The only way to make the game playable again is to relog.

Edit: Wow changing my global chat channel actually helped. But theres now a huge lag spike every time I open chat... and /clear fixed that too.

I guess my results were a red herring. It turns out the reason why I would get so much stuttering when I tabbed back to the game was the game chat was now filled up with messages sent in global chat that I didnt see when I was looking at youtube.

Alt tabbing wasnt the issue, it was the back log of missed messages on global chat.
