Can not progress Simulacrum

I am doing my first simulacrum run. I am on wave 6. The Strangely Familiar Entity is on screen, with the next wave's info. When I click on him nothing happens. I can leave back to town and return. I logged out of game and back in and still I can not progress the Simulacrum.

It took me 2 weeks to farm the needed shards with my limited play time. Can I get the token to re-attempt the run again? Is there a way to reset the run to work?
