The chat window bugs really need to be addressed ASAP

The CPU hitches have gotten measurably worse over the past few days. Every time an incoming message comes in, CPU time hitches in a big way. I'll use commands like /clear and /cls and it goes away for ~10 minutes, but it comes back immediately. I also cleared out both client log text files and this hasn't helped. For now I'm just staying connected to what seem like dead channels to sidestep the problem, but it has gotten BAD. Numerous people are reporting the same issue all day. My uninformed guess is some kind of overflow problem with the arrays used for chat logging? Or possibly a memory leak somewhere? Honestly not sure, but I hope a solution is coming soon.

If i exit the game and relaunch, it seems to work but only for few minutes until the stutter comes back every few seconds...
I never had any issues until few days ago.

For now you can type /clear and /cls and that clears it up for a few minutes. Or like I mentioned in the post, just enter a dead channel by typing "/global #" and "/trade #" and the problem is gone without any chat messages coming in. In-game dialogue from monsters and NPCs still cause it, but you can disable those in settings.

Just a heads up for people, the chat channels for English go just over 65 000 (ike 65 434 or something, I forget the exact number now). I always mute the channel after switching to a dead one too.

They do roam the chat and I believe they were speaking of the lag issues during the Talkative Tri interview with Jonathan Rogers.

Ok good to know - indeed using the command is getting rid of it (at least for few minutes) still bit annoying tho :/
