Lag spikes and DC's

Still getting DC'd every few minutes while mapping. Took a little break from POE2 to see if this cleared up but not that lucky. Zero issues in POE1, zero issues in D4, so I know it's the POE2 client. For that matter, it worked fine before DotH.

Symptoms? While running maps randomly my lag will go through the roof. sometimes it clears itself but I lose my uncovered map progress, but more often the game just DC's. have to wait 1-2min for it to "clear" on the login screen before the login button responds again. I've tried several different region servers with reasonable ping times, but ends up the same every time. I can literally watch the meter hover at next to nothing in game, then it just goes out of control. Looked up a couple community fixes with clearing caches and whatnot, but nothing fixes it.

Not sure if I want to continue playing when everytime I get to a rare/boss, I have to worry about DC'ing and coming back dead. :\
