Awesome Laser Beam Mob

This mob is a pretty cool design. I like it's offscreening capability and limitless range and tracking. Very challenging and fun gameplay with this guy

I agree, these guys are awesome! Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it a lot.
Oh no, you died to another AoE that could have been avoided if you weren't busy spamming whirling slash. Woe is you!
Classic GGG idea of "challenging" mechanics :chef's kiss:

Seriously, these are probably the only ways they can get their player kill count at the high levels.

When player skill easily beats the good challenge mechanics that are mostly experienced in the campaign, what else can GGG do? Be creative and invent real challenge? Nah. It's easier to put in industry-standard cheap shots hahaha.

1. padding accuracy and critical chance when targeting characters

2. ground effects that trigger instantly if the character should happen to be on top of one when it spawns.

3. hidden penetration / exposure infliction on mobs, specifically those that shoot bursts (lightning, chaos, poison)

4. mobs throwing AoE ground effects directly at the feet of a character, always guaranteed to have Chaos and penetration mixed in since most players have max capped resistances at this point.

5. A lot of off-screen AoE attacks with high crit and 100% accuracy.

6. attacks that are designed to catch the character mid animation, particularly during dodging.

7. lethal homing attacks. If these weren't mostly lethal, it'd be ok, but they're almost always lethal so it's the cheapest of the cheap shots evidenced by GGG's revelation that Volatile plants are the #1 cause of character death at this point. What a joke.

etc. etc. There's just too many to list. GGG did a good job with the campaign but it did an even BETTER job in endgame if the endgame was meant to piss players off like your average Soulslike. Mission accomplished!

Weird… wasn’t even clipping the beam through terrain that should block it… there’s no escaping it, not even behind some walls….

Actually the most annoying mob in the game. Well some like some not.
Problem is , if he will catch you close practically you are death.
designed to frustrate people and remove theirs XP :D
