Another disappointment: Reliquary Keys

The Reliquary.

Sits on your Atlas map close to your point of origin.
It's intriguing.
It feels like something you want to get inside to see!
There's a mystique about it.

50-500 maps later, you drop a Reliquary Key.

It's quite an exciting experience. "I'm going to get to see inside it! Yes!"


You pop your key in, and it opens like a map. The anticipation is nice.


You enter the map: there are no enemies. Your character expresses their excitement.

"Okay, this is different", you feel.


You open the solitary door. You approach the MASSIVE gold chest. You click open!


And out drops what is quite a pathetic green-gold Unique that no-one ever uses, and has zero value.

WOW. What a great game mechanic. Instead of dropping me a useless Unique in the map, which I have to say happens a LOT, you've dropped a fairly rare key that lets me get a useless Unique.


Honest to god. Who writes these things in to the game?? The venom crypts in act 3 gave me better loot. What a wasted opportunity for something exciting. Even a T1 rare from a box choice of 7 (helmet, gloves, armour, shoes, armour, weapon, jewel/amulet) would be enticing.

Whats even crazier is that gear is capped at lvl 65, so any weapon with a skill attached will be useless
Very similar to the new socketables they added. Most of them are straight trash and dilute the existing ones you can get from trial of chaos. They keep adding in more and more clutter. What we want is meaningful content, not charsi food/chance shard.

It's fine. The options for the twighlight reliquary are all useless anyway. When I was picking mine for my support pack I was like "wow these all suck these keys are Shiny chance shards"
