Disconnect and I lose the Map?
So your current design is that if the game crashes for no fault of the player, they lose the map? And when I spend several hours setting up towers to cleanse the corrupt map, and your game crashes, I lose the map and lose the hours I spent setting this up, invalidating my towers and all the currency I spent on wasytones? Can you please stop wasting player time?

Same thing just happened to me about 20 mins ago. It's a horrible horrible flaw in the game. We shouldn't be punished because their servers tank. I lost a Visions of paradise and a citadel i could have run 3x times.

Has been like this for months now. Your hard-earned progress flushed away due to abysmal servers.

Should the server fail, you lose the instance. I guess they need better sys admin, dev ops and network engineers. There seem to be issues behind the shards, replicas and load balancers behind the gateways. I assume there are also separate auth servers in between, hence the queues, if they are bombarded with requests.
HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?

Unfortunately, this is common. While servers are not stable, GGG should allow us to keep the map and re-enter when we connect. Not lose the entire map/node.
