Elemental Sundering inconsistency with Skeletal Frost Mages

Elemental Sundering has the same phrasing as Skeletal Brute in that it consumes ailments from allies in order to trigger its effects, but unlike the interaction Skeletal Brute has with Skeletal Frost Mage's ice armour which makes minions count as frozen, this doesn't appear to work for Elemental Sundering at all.

i was just really hyped as I saw that this might be possible, lucky tested it on my other character first but im real sad that it does not work. Still has the same wording.
