Crash when entering Keth area (PoE 2)

Hello,

I am experiencing a consistent crash when trying to enter the area Keth in Path of Exile 2. The game immediately closes to desktop during the area generation.

The last line in my Client.txt log shows:

Steps I have tried so far:

Verified game files.

Cleared shader cache.

Switched between Vulkan / DirectX 11 / DirectX 12.

Lowered graphics settings.

Despite this, the crash happens every time I try to enter Keth, with multiple characters, not just one.

Hey, I don't know if you still have this problem, but for you and anyone else that stumbles upon this thread, I also had this problem and found a fix.

If this is the same problem I got, then it's not exactly a bug; it's a corrupted asset that the game tries to load in when you enter the area.

The solution I got was to delete the corrupted archive and do an integrity check on Steam. There are some steps to help:

1) First you will need to know what archive is the problem. To do that, load into the area and make the game crash. After this, go into your Windows search bar and open the "Windows Log Viewer." On this you will have a side menu. Go to Windows Logs -> Applications. There you will have a lot of registers of everything. Search for a red icon on that list; you can go based on the time the game crashed. Upon finding it, click on it to view details. Windows will say exactly which archive was the problem.

For me it was "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Path of Exile 2\Bundles2\Streaming\Content\data\worldareas\87\mapfortress.vworld.bundle.bin"

1.1) To be sure that you found the right archive, go to that directory and try to open it with a notepad. If it's corrupted, it will not open.

1.2) When you find the problem archive, delete it.

2) Do an integrity check on the game via Steam.

If you can't find the archive or Windows log, uninstalling the game and downloading it all again will probably fix it.
