Gaining lightning infusion

Hi,
I was doing map Sacred Reservoir, while fighting boss there i was unable to gain lightning infusion by using lightning warp on ball lightning. Those balls would go as they were while casting lightning warp it do nothing just wasted mana. I think it is related to terrain. Earlier occured same bug but on different map but it wasnt affecting gameplay that much cuz I moved away and it worked like it should. My main skill is arc so gaining lightning infusion is must have to deal moderate dmg.
