Adorned Diamond Scaling Issue

I’ve noticed a possible issue with The Adorned Diamond jewel not applying its increased effect correctly beyond a certain point. I’m using a corrupted magic jewel that grants 25% Presence of Area, and with an Adorned Diamond at 92%, the actual effect becomes: 25 × (1 + 0.92) = 48% Presence of Area. When I switch to an Adorned Diamond at 100%, the effect should be: 25 × (1 + 1.00) = 50% Presence of Area. So per jewel, that’s a clear +2% gain. I have 5 of these jewels, which should result in a total of +10% Presence of Area increase when upgrading from 92% to 100%. But in practice, there is no difference shown in stats or performance — whether I'm using 92% or 100%, the result is identical. That leads me to believe there might be: An invisible cap on the effect, A bug in how The Adorned Diamond scales above a certain value, Or perhaps a visual/UI issue not showing the real stat. I haven't tested Adorneds with lower % (like 70–80%) to see if scaling stops earlier, but the fact that 92% and 100% behave the same is already strange. All Adorned really does it take a stats multiply it be it's value take the floor of the number and add it to overall character stats.
Are you aware that the increase in presence isn't the increase in radius but in overall area and this has very important implication. The further away from you the more presence you need to increase your presence radius. Presence is a circle and increase in presence is applied to entire are of that circle and this has very important implication for the radius of your presence. Lets say that S is the sum of all your increases in presence on your character for given skill (from everywhere Jewels, Tree, Gems) lets try calculating the radius of your presence based on that. Let Pa be area of your presence. Let x be the increase in your presence radius from base presence So your total presence radius = 4 + x. Pi is just Pi constant 3.14.... We know that Pa is nothing else than our base presence of 4m multiplied by sum of modifiers therefore Pa = Pi * 4^2 * S Lets try getting the equation which tells us how much Sum on are inc do we need to get x additional meters of radius. Pi * 4^2 * S = Pi * (4+x)^2 => divide both sides by Pi 16 * S = (4+x)^2 => square root both sides we know that x is positive therefore no absolute value sqrt(16*S) = 4+x 4*sqrt(S) = 4 + x x = 4 * sqrt(S) - 4 Notice that in the formula we are taking square root of your total presence sum. That's important cuz square root is function which grows fast early but very quickly becomes a slowpoke. Lets see how much total inc do we need to get each meter of presence 16 * S = (4+x)^2 => S = (4+x)^2 / 16 So for one matter you need 156% total presence For two meters you need total 225% For three meters 306 total presence For four meters 400% total presence For five meters 506% total presence For six meters 625% total presence For seven meters additional presence 756% total increased presence If you presence is already high 10% increase in presence is going to be barely visible (pls notice that each mater of radius requires over 100% past 4 meters mark). Hmmm something is wrong..
Take off all bonus of presence, put only 1jewel (who gave me 50% increase presence with adorned) And with only 50% increase I already won more than 1m radius. Look like the formula you told me is not good. |
