Trapped in the Abys during maps. please do transport to last waypoint?

I am currently trapped in an abyssal depth while in a map device. I died during the map attempt and got transported back to the depths but the area I originally mapped to is unloaded due to deaths. I tried exiting, leaving via last checkpoint transfer, nothing in there to kill me. Maybe have a transport to last waypoint along with check point, or maybe don't have check points in areas that you can't return to when you die like the depths

Not to dismiss the problem, but you do now have the option to force-load your character into town or hideout from the Character Selection screen. This should help you to escape.

On PC, you can do this by Control-clicking the PLAY button when loading a selected character (i.e. hold Control on the keyboard while clicking the button or else pressing Control-Enter). The game will prompt to confirm that you wish to reload into the last town or hideout that you visited and abandon the current area.
