but i lost the same amount due to lag when trading 1 div to 501 exalt.

instead it became 5010 when i click the place order button.

charging me 600k+ gold.

is there a way to recover the gold? or is it in the wind? :(

Sadly, no.

The only way to recover gold from an exchange order is if the order is "completed" prematurely without selling everything that you put on offer. That can occur if the system completes a partial amount of your order at a more favourable rate, which breaks the remainder of the order because it can no longer sell the rest for a whole (integer) amount.

Otherwise the gold is gone once you place the order, even if it was in error.
