Hideout Templates ~ Pets not saving in template?

I made some tweaks to my hideout (caged a chicken & a moa) and was trying to make sure i didnt bugger the design, for some reason when I reloaded after making a bad artistic choice they weren't in the hideout, had been reclaimed.

Is this intentional? Do pets not get saved in hideout templates??

(support please move this to PoE1 bugs.....)
