Fire spell on hit doesnt work with molten blast

Hello,
i dont know if it is a new info.
Iam trying a build with fire spell on hit and molten blast.
But the count doesnt go up if i hit wih this attack.
Other attacks like Sunder are working perfectly.
Maybe someone can look this up?
