Campaign Quest Softlock

While I was playing with my friend in the Cemetery of the Eternals, they ran ahead while I was loading and opened the gates for Lachlan, who ran ahead and was ready for the boss fight.

For me however, He was not there. The gates were opened but had the hitbox acted like they were closed and had no option to open them, and I did have both keys. I could not speak to Lachlan, as he laterally ran ahead. We were able to use the portals to get me to the other side of the gate and fight Lachlan, defeating him. This did progress my quest when we activated the boss fight, and after we killed him.

However, it did not summon the interaction to go to the hunting grounds. No problem, I'll just taxi off my friend who can go there. Quest progression prevented me, saying that my quest state was not at the required state to travel there. I had the waypoint there, somehow, so I tried using that too. Same issue. restarted the game, same issue etc etc.

For anyone experiencing this issue, or something similar, this is how we fixed it:
We disbanded our party and let the map reset (I heard it was abt 15 minutes per reset, but I was busy looking through the forums trying to find a similar post). This also reset the gate, which was now openable, Lachlan was still dead, and the option of going to the Hunting grounds was available.

How I think this happened:

I was loading when my friend opened the gates. I'm thinking that becuase I wasn't in a game area when that interaction happened, it didn't detect a second player to sync the data / create their own instance like how the entrance to the Grim Tangle does (or however it works), which then just used my friends map state as my own, which kinda just bricked it.
