Jade Heritage not specifying in descriptions of node or skill you need a mace thanks GGG

I wanted to play a warbringer using shapeshifting skills. No where on the ascendancy node Jade Heritage or on the skill description Encase in Jade does it specify you need to be using a mace. So i just wasted my time ascending as a warbringer for something not to work.
