Amanamu's Tithe + Tecrod's revenge bugged interaction

Having a companion skill (wolf pack) supported by both Tecrod's Revenge and Amanamu's Tithe support gems does not function as expected.

Expected result: Companions will die 20 seconds after their life reaches 0, then have a chance to trigger Anamanu's tithe to grant an abyss monster modifier

Actual result: no abyss monster modifiers are ever granted, even when the minion count in the buff tooltip goes down and the reforming mist buff appears.

Steps to replicate: stand outside a room with many enemies that can rapidly kill your companions. Remove Tecrod's revenge support from companion skill and observe that stacks of the 20 second Anamanu's Tithe buff are generated. Replace Tecord's revenge in the support slots for the companion skill. Minions dying will no longer trigger Anamanu's Tithe, even after their 20 second no death grace period expires

I just learned of this bug myself. I saw several players doing this and I figured I'd try it but it seems to not be functional, which is very frustrating.

Can confirm I am also experiencing this bugged interaction. I was able to get some buffs one time by switching tecrod's revenge in right before the wolves died but then never got buffs again. A buff should be granted either when the wolves "die" and then persist for 20 seconds OR when they properly die at the end of the 20 seconds. The later would make the most sense to me.
