Constant Crashing//Game Unplayable??
|
First post here on the Forum, not super clear on it.
Seems like I'm supposed to post here instead of emailing GGG Directly. I played POE 2 When it first dropped, but my computer was shit, and it didn't run well. It ran.. but terribly. Finally did some upgrading in November and excitedly got back into the game. With Abyss so close to ending I just played a character who was in the Base League for over a week. Things went great, was playing on medium quality. No crashes, several hours into the game. When the new league dropped I happily hopped on with some friends and things were rough for the free weekend. The game was struggling at times, but it was happening for all of us. I put my graphics to low to try and help with that. After the free weekend ended I continued playing and as I pushed further the worse my game has gotten. By Act 2 my computer was starting to blue screen often when I tried to play. I updated my bios, every driver I could find. Tried changing the Renderer in the game. Deleting the Shader folders. Reverifying the Game Files more times then I can remember. I even completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game. At this point I can no longer even load a character. The last 2-3 days when I start my character the game crashes, not the entire computer, but just back to steam and the desktop. I'm not sure why it started with this new update, and why it proceeded to get worse the longer I played it, but now I'm here trying to find a solution. As far as I cant tell this is not a PC issue, because I can do work and play games other then this one for hours with absolutely no issue, but the moment I boot it up their are consequences. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time using the Forum, so I apologize for any mistakes and will do my best to check back in on this often. 最後にスレッドがバンプされた時間 時刻 2025/12/27 10:58:29

We've all been getting major crashes, but no one has yet complained about blue screens. That usually means your RAM or Memory could be damaged. You might want to run some diagnostics to find out if its a hardware problem with your memory. (windows has RAM checking tools)
A year ago I was having similar problems and it turned out my HDD and RAM was cooked. I ended up buying a new PC, though right now for you, buying a new PC would be very exphensive since hardware prices are skyrocking. 最後に KingDaMuncha#6025 が 2025/12/27 3:22:11 に編集

It's not a hardware issue. I've seen many high-spec devices having the same problem on video sites, including mine. I haven't been to forums for half a year until frequent crashes started happening, so I came to the forum to look for solutions.

Its not a hardware issue seeing all other games works fine and some of them are alot more demanding than PoE2 it also didnt start getting really bad untill the recent hotfix, so when they fixed something it seems to have broken something else

Going back to what KingDaMuncha said, I did do a RAM check with the built in windows tool. It didn't find any issues.
I've also done checks for any corrupt Windows files and haven't had any issues there. I hadn't thought about all the hot fixes that had been dropping, but that could very well explain the continuing degradation. Each update might have made whatever my situation is a bit worse. |

Im sitting on quite the new machine (budget but still OK), and the further into the game the worse it gets. The first few acts i could play on medium/high settings at 1440p, things seemed fine but now at endgame, any map "extras" such as breach or delirium or very large packs of mobs and the FPS drops below 15.
The thing is, even when im lowering settings to 720p and the lowest on everything its the same amount of lags and freezes. It doesnt matter if i turn it up or down? Summary of my system -Windows 11 -32GB DDR4 RAM -Ryzen 7 5800x -Intel Arc B570 -1TB nvme disk |
