Side content disappears after dying to map boss

Hi,

Is this a bug or intended behavior?

Map: Canyon

I die during the map boss fight, respawn, go back in and kill the boss.
After that, all side content disappears (Ritual, Abyss, Strongboxes, etc.), even though I still had respawns left.

The map remains open, but all optional mechanics are gone.

Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug?

Intended since 0.2
