Server Side Lag Spikes - Instance overload?
|
Started recently, however a couple of quick google searches turns up an enormous amount of people who are having the same issues.
Basically as soon as you log in, the "Instance" that you are assigned begins to overload, leading to large lag spikes, eventually 5-6 second lag intervals. Im going to leave some of the facts and tests that ive found when trying to diagnose the issue. 1. Choosing a different server does not seem to fix anything. (IE. auto-selecting Texas Vs. California ) 2. The problem has an EASY fix, you pull up the menu and choose to "respawn at checkpoint" Which essentially puts your character into a new instance. It causes the entirety of the lag to go away. The same goes for forcing a new instance at a waypoint or portal. It quite literally goes from normal functioning gameplay, to unplayable lag spikes 3.Some actions end up progressing the lag. Weapon swap, for example, will cause massive lag spikes, same with dodge rolling and chest opening. This is in contrast to (using my minion build here as an example) my minions functioning fine without causing any lag 4. Towns seem to be the biggest offender, however the lag is NOT equal in all parts of the game. For example act 5 is far worse then Act 3. Act 1 is far worse than Act 2. I also did all of the things that you would do to typically do is you have an issue, re-install , clear shader cache etc etc. We can rule out the typical basic stuff. Most of the home remedies don't seem to solve this permanently, like changing the "auto-selecting gateway" in the .ini file for the record Like I noted earlier, there seems to be a large amount of people who are dealing with this, hopefully there is a simple solution, because what it seems like is that the amount of instances being created for every account logging in are being limited to an amount that is causing a huge amount of lag. 最後にスレッドがバンプされた時間 時刻 2025/12/31 13:45:57
