checkpoints in VAAL TEMPLE they just disapear?

Running Vaal Temple, clean a boss room, checkpoint appears.

Port back to entrance and dump loot, go back in to inside entrance checkpoint and try to use it to get back to the VERIFIED unlocked checkpoint deep at the end of my chain, and its gone on the temple map. When i run all the waaaay back to the room where i unlockd the checkpoint, its still there. But not visible on checkpoint map. Until i click on it. Only then does it appear on checkpoint map.

I have not checked if its a proximity thing, where i have to walk up to the newly reveled checkpoint to activate it. I will try that on the next one.

Is this intended? Seems like it is not.
