Why do you use Call of the Brotherhood? What does this do? Isn't the conversion from Lightning to Cold redundant because you are using the jewel?

AFAIK (correct me if I’m wrong) is that the damage conversions occur before the threshold jewel selections. So not only does all 3 types of damage get converted to fire (the only element able to do damage) it also double/triple dips with all cold/light/fire conversions which is why this single elemental type ele hit does an incredible damage with hardly any investment

Another question, if I use legacy pyre ring (100% cold to fire conversion) do I still need jewel that elemental hit can't choose cold?

From what I’ve read earlier in the topic, what happens is all the conversions from your tree and gear take place initially then the element is chosen. So if you convert away all your cold and you don’t have the threshold jewel to exclude cold you’ll just end up with a 0 dmg hit. (EDIT: Assuming you rng the cold attack on ele hit)

Yep, this. You don't even have to convert all the cold or lightning damage to get 0 dmg hits. Avatar of Fire alone will mean that everytime Ele Hit chooses cold or lightning you will deal 0 damage. So the jewels are kind of important :D

OK nice... well I just bought the "cannot choose Cold" jewel and my damage just doubled... so you're right :)

I have a question regarding the jewels. When I check Path of Building I see that we don't actually unlock the 2nd attribute of the Combat Focus jewel, is that intentional?
