First, Assassin's mark still allows minions to gain power charges.

Before the assassin's mark change, Agony Crawler with 3 power charges is calculated like this:

5% x (1 + 200% x 3) + 9% = 43%

With the new changes, the additional chance to crit from assassin's mark is now affected by crit modifiers, which is like this:

(5% + 2.5%) x (1 + 200% x 3) = 52.5%

If ICS support is equipped it would be:

(5% + 2.5% + 1.9%) x (1 + 200% x 3 + 98%) = 75%

This is a buff.

I understand that assassins mark is the preferred primary curse (and can come from a ring).

1) Is there a case for running projectile weakness as a second curse to free up the pierce gem on the herald?

2) Does poacher's mark allow the crawler to pick up frenzy charges?

1) Yes Projectile weakness is decent as the second curse so you can drop off the pierce gem. In 3.6 you may put it into the new unique quiver as well.

2) If you check my current build in 3.5, I have been using both assassin's mark and poacher's mark for maximizing dps, where poacher's mark also gives extra life gain on hit effect for surviving.

And thus I will be highly suggesting Ascendant as your league starter character, mainly for the extra curse in Occultist.

Leveling up is really straight forward in this build. Just make sure the two things:

1. Max linking your Herald of Agony

2. Getting as much chance to poison as possible, aka storm brand - lesser poison - poison.

Also prioritize movement speed, then life, then resistances (this is basics)

Doesn't Might of the Meek kinda contradict the "cheap" aspect of the build? Or is that more like a luxury option. I'm currently looking at this as one of my option for the league start, but I am super undecided still.

But I haven't play HoAg yet, so I might give it a go.
