I was just wondering, is it really better to use a shaped ring to get 5% of ele dmg as chaos instead of using a elder ring so we get the 70-80% spell damage from the Mark of the Shaper?

Sometimes 80% increase spell damage will outdps the 5% chaos. BUT, a big BUT, is that "ignore enemy chaos res" is too big a buff to ignore. Of course most enemies have no chaos res but I recall all end game bosses have like 20~30% chaos res so you are giving up around 30~40% MORE chaos damage.

Yeah, I remember seeing something like that on his build, but on this one, it was mentioned to use that ring/ammy combo for a free +2 chain, but I'm not sure if it's still even considered as the build looks to have changed a bit since I last played.

I've changed the links, see the gem links guide again. Removed crit and added inspiration for clear, and switched out chain for hypothermia for single target.

Hypothermia is GREEN

Hi Memoria,

I’ve been wanted to switch from the shroud to the eternity armor for sometime now. I’m still reluctant, because I was unable to get my POB to work. The ignore chaos resistance on the eternity is huge, but the shroud has 47% to element penetration along with 1% to max life/mana per abyss jewel. Also, with my current set up, I’m freeze immune.That being said, could you import my character into POB and tell me what is my dps? Thank you in advance.
