Hello I am having issues with survivability with this build.

It seems there is only one layer of defense: stacking life and ES.

I still don't have all the gear I want but I really doubt upgrading my stuff is going to make all that much of a difference.

Can someone tell me if I have something wrongly configured or should I just keep leveling?


please note: My boots suck I am still trying to craft the hunter boots.

I also really want curse immunity of some kind with this build. Is it possible to fit in by maybe dropping wise oak? There are so many map mods that really fuck you up : [vulnerability, ele weakness, TEMP CHAINS]

you could try putting a phasing jewel in your belt to help a little bit

Anyone figure out how to sustain/survive with this build? With a level 20 Energy leech in HoT and a 19 in storm brand, Heart of thunder allocated, and Storm drinker(and Doryani) Large Cluster I still come no where close to sustaining especially on bosses.

I'd suggest Glorious Vanity + cluster jewel with both life and ES leech at least. Maps will be fine without most likely, if you have Cinderswallow Urn.

For leveling section: is there are reason you are not listing any 6L configurations or am I just missing something?


I want to level up my Shadow quickly and painlessly: So, you say for the beginning use Tabula with FP, Added Cold, Added Lightning, Onslaught and Arcane Surge? What's a good 6th Link?

I have 6L from lvl 18, there aren't that many other gems to use before that other than increased crit strikes at lvl 8.

Few issues

1. I cannot sustain 2 rings even with min-max gear and ghost reaver, it just eats my 3k ES ( with sustain i mean both life and ES )

2. My crusader explosions are not doing enough damage even with 50% conversion to lightning gloves, it only kills packs on crit.

4. What's the point of having 2k ES when you don't use it? It's gone after a few seconds and you can't get it back... All this for 170 es / second leech? 1. There is no reason to go Ghost reaver here. The reason we go for Glorious Vanity is to leech both ES and life at the same time. Sustain should be more than enough with Cinderswallow urn (for clear), Doryani's lesson and Storm drinker on jewel and Energy leech. I've done Sirus plenty of times without problem.

2. With your 84% effective crit chance I don't see where the problem is. Your DPS is better than mine too and I was clearing maps with beautiful explosions.

3. Nice gear man, don't understand why you have issues when you are basically minmaxed.

4. Good idea, the ES leech doesn't help too much on longer bossfights but then again this build was not intended for mapping but ended up working for Sirus A8 too.

Rolled t3 multi might fix it up later gonna work on hunter boots for now then the staff and chest

Also trying to currently craft a 8s large and 4s medium but im getting my ass kicked

Go with lightning rolls in harvest on your large jewel, really helps.

You have double bleed flasks, just swap bleed for curse on your diamond flask.
Keep going and focus a bit more on survivability, later on you can get chest with explode and 10% of life as extra ES for more survivability.

For the ones having problem with survivability, try adding Fenumus' Spinnerets and get Aspect of the spider somewhere. Got it as a tip from someone that tried it and said that it helps since you get flat ES on hit.

Well that is rough... I got 100 ele res, 35% MS, tailwind and life on boots. On top of that I need to find open spot on like 2 or 3 remaining rares to craft Aspect of Spider? Loosing so much for ES on hit doesn't seem to be worth it

Replace gloves with rares works too, you lose a bit of life but it's an option. I haven't tried it out myself but got it suggested to me as a solution from someone who tried it.

Hi, i really love the build but i got oneshotted most of the times, i dont think that i have trouble sustaining 2 rings, but im dying a lot on maps.
My rares are not very good,i got them at lvl 70.
I have gloriuos vanity, large cluster with doryani's lesson and stormdrinker.

So, i am confused here. When crafting my 2h staff, should i roll Adds # to # Lightning damage or Adds # to # lightning damage to spells? or should i skip both and craft %Spell or Lightning damage, lightning as extra chaos? I already got +3 all lightning spell gems.
