Non sequitur. The gameplay is no more challenging with or without the xp loss.

But it is. One thing is when you can do whathever you want without fearing anything, and completely another — when you have to be careful. It multiplies all the treats and make them much more challenging.


Wrong, this non-stop 24/7 vigilance and anxiety makes people not want to play the game. You're in a minority of people who enjoy these kinds of stressful games, most of us do not. Being scared of losing your map and your progress and exp constantly is not fun, this is why Hardcore isn't the most popular game mode. The one with the most players is SC Trade, and you can't dispute pure numbers. If GGG don't want this game to die some big changes need to happen fast.


like poe1 died because of xp penalty doesnt it? xp loss is good for the game and it has to stay. the game is not better if youre 100 and it isnt worse if youre 92. but getting to 100 means something. dying to 100 12000 times means nothing.

XP loss forces you to add more defensive layers to your build or you will not level up. It's good game design.

Don't plan a build past level 85 or 90 at the most. The leveling curve is insanely high post 90 and it will take a long time to level up. You don't need level 100 to clear all content. All content can be done much earlier. 100 is just something to chase.


up to 95 is basically free, after that the lvl penalty really sets in


I figure by 95 people would have their defenses figured out, or at least have the knowledge or reaction times to log out if things look bad.



Yes exp gain is indirect nerf when I mentioned 25mln exp on lvl 95, I also meant it is like 75mln exp below lvl 82 (that is the max level of mobs) as you level up higher you are getting punished get lower exp for same mobs, due to outlevelling them.

I'm level 96 and can't leveling further. What ever i do every 7-10% xp die. It's not fair becouse some classes right now are benefiting from the nonexistent balance. Spear and mages leveling like hell couse of the strong and fast DPS and 10-11k ES.

While Merc and Warrior suffer the consequences of unbalanced game. And now we waiting and Event before the big patch. Great move by Devs.

Simple fix: invest in defense and don't die.

Balance is nonexistent and this is the main reason of two different speed time leveling. If they don't fix it always gonna be crying babies and crying baby haters.

Xp Gain should doubled from level 95 and over. Also Devs should buff the Saqawa's Rune to 5% increased xp gain.
+1 stuck in 96 level. Xp gain is nonexistent in higher levels.
So playing in full party in level 95 the xp gain is slow but not so bad. In level 96 you gain 1% xp per 3 maps. It made intentionally so difficult to leveling. It isn't normal scalable.

So bring back the xp gain to normal or remove xp loss.
