Stumbled upon this in another thread, at least for me, for now, disabling Nvidia Reflex in the game's options fixed the CTD.

Have that off, still problem :)

Same issue. Steam launcher. I get to the loading screen just before the start menu (the two gears) that freeze the game and the application starts to not respond.

I had the same issue:

Game frozed up and crashed while the cogs were spinning and loading. I never got to the log-in screen.

I have had this issue last time during launch and it solved by changing to Vulkan in the config. The strange thing was that my config file was also completely empty. I tried to verify the files and re-install the game but still, the config file remained empty.

I solved the issue by:
1) Getting a friends copy of their config file (which had settings/text filled), and replacing my own with theirs.
2) Changing DirectX11 to Vulkan.

Same. Using steam.

Start game, game opens and immediately closes. No error.

Tried changing renderer and deleting config. No change.

AMD 3600 cpu
AMD RX580 gpu

Having similar issues, resetting config gets me to character select but after it just closes.

Got the rest working in Vulkan in 0.1.0, but seems they broke it all.

I resolve mine by uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Kind of sucks.
