The game is in a good state actually

Don’t agree with the campaign one, but overall I agree. Didn’t do mf in 0.1 so loot is just ok to me. Crafting in endgame feels better since essences are easier to get, and fracture + recombine gives me an actual strategy so I also like to do one booom in expedition now

First off, I think it's hilarious when people say they are ssf and then complain they don't have enough resources to craft. It's like if hardcore players complained they can't play their character after it died.

I don't think it's hilarious that a game which is intended to be single-player is unplayable without participating in multiplayer trade.

trading should be a way to enjoy the game more, or at least get the gear you want without grinding for it..

that doesn't mean you should not be able to grind for it at all (the current vision).

Since when does single-player == no trading?

Also I don't relate at all to the game being unplayable without trading.
I traded for 2 items I currently have equipped. Both were 1d. Everything else was self found or crafted.

I don't understand what people like you want.

Like what's the appropriate amount of grinding you'd find acceptable for a good two-hander or a +5 wand?

Why would I take offense?

Crafting is objectively better than 0.1.

And currency and loot are absolutely fine in the sense that at no point did I think I needed more of it.

lets try and get some extra context then. if you don't mind, what level are you, if at end game what tier of map are you playing, and finally what build.

I'm 94, smith. Clearing semi juiced t15s/t16s no issues. Bosses no issues.

Balance isn't good atm. Many skills are underpowered. But good builds shouldn't have any real problems progressing.

now here's my personal issue. being stuck with the same weapon for over 15 levels, and a good portion of my other gear for even longer because all i see is garbage for loot really sucks. i dont skip any of the league mechanics, i do full level clears every time, i open every chest i come across and i watch the vendors every now and then.

im currently level 50 if i recall, stuck on dorie act 3 normal, 3 or 4 levels over content, out of currency, and nothing drops. my progression has halted, i have modified my build numerous times trying to make up for the lack of gear. i will of course get past dorie, but without a sense of progression i ask myself more and more every day why i even continue to play.

tldr: the game is currently a poverty simulator, and some people get royally screwed because RNJesus is not being kind.

I concur, is he SSF, or regular? Meaning he doesn't ever see the actual drop rate that has been Nerfed The OP sounds like a shill, and I think it should be treated as such.

My own experience is the drops are nerfed to the point where there is essentially nothing of vale for an entire zone, Deshar, the Dreadnought 1 and 2. Nothing... All I can say is screw that noise and wait for the propeller heads that maintain the loot database get the memo that people are leaving the game, and their job is on the line.

(Of course, there needs to be a committee meeting to approve it with GGG and tencent uppity ups)

I didn't mean to say unplayable. I'm actually surpised I wrote that unconsciously and thanks for calling me out. I'm playing and having a load of fun. The further one gets into the endgame though, the more it starts to near the gear-locked, unplayable realm.

that said, I think some reliable ways to obtain crafting currency for SSF players should be available, implemented in such a way that it doesn't become a target of abuse, but rather a way to get currency that is lucrative yet not as lucrative as participating in trade, if that makes sense.

Yes, it's possible to get a smooth progression, if you are lucky, very lucky. At the beginning of act 1 cruel I was lucky, too. I could craft a very good wand for my witch, and got a very good robe, too.
But now I am at the end of act 3 cruel, and it's done. Luck is in Valhalla. Found nothing at vendors, found nothing from looting, and from crafting I got mostly light radius and reduced requirement (which is the top mod on sold gear - the absolute no.1 a vendors).
And Napuatzi is waiting.......
I think that all the recent streamers are stopping is because they know that massive loot table alterations are coming. GGG has already admitted it on future Patch notes, because .02 was a fatal mistake that was not caught by the testers, if any. AI testers are not so sophisticated, and they have no training on fun.

The loot as it stands, as one streamer put it, is a "Poverty Simulator", and I can attest to that in my recent 20 hours.

I'll answer this separately. what I want, based on my current experience, is a way to start crafting the 20+ items in my stash that have "potential".

at the rate I'm finding orbs, I get some items to 3-4 mods, but eventually out level them before ever being able to wear them.

so now I have to start over with items close to my level, and it's the same problem, I'll get a few exalts, never fully upgrade anything, and outlevel it.

this continues until I get to maps where I can sort of stop and just grind for those exalts, but they are very rare, I am encouraged by the game to keep progressing further into more and more dangerous areas where I'm likely to lose my character, just to find the upgrade currency to make my character stronger... there's a bit of a gap here that could be closed by letting me target-farm orbs in areas that aren't dangerous to do so.

you have every right to say that I signed up for this when I chose HC SSF. you're right, and it's okay because I am having fun, but that doesn't mean there's not more fun to be had with some optimizations for SSF/HCSSF

I agree with most of what OP said.

My biggest problem with the game right now is that waystone mods that add dificulty don't equal more rewards (only more waystone drop chance). Its a bit stupid that we just have to roll waystones for rarity and the suffixes don't matter. Iff 25% pen maps, -max res or temp chains maps were +100% rarity each that would be awesome.
Poverty simulator lmao. Scarcity in games like these is good imo. It makes you consider your resources and forces you to use them effectively.

If poverty simulator for you means a lower div per hour number that doesn't necessarily make the game bad, just different. Everyone is in your position, making less currency.
