Atlas bookmarking w/gamepad doesn't work

Unless I'm missing something, the ability to bookmark locations in the atlas does not work with a gamepad because it requires you to input text and it won't give a way to do so. Just selecting an icon doesn't work, it needs text.

Edit: This is on PC, playing remotely at a TV w/gamepad away from a keyboard. I imagine this would affect other PC players who are doing similar/PC couch coop.
