EU - The latency is getting worse and worse every week.

So I occasionally had a map/area where it had 150ms lag, which was sorted by "Respawn at checkpoint" or just burning the map and using new one. However now this is has become like more than 50% of the maps have that lag.

GGG Why is this happening? Are you sending me on a overseas server? Is it because EU ones are crowded?

Could be more DDoS attacks.q At least that's what was said when EU was having issues earlier on.

People need to learn how the internet works before complaining about “GGG servers”.
IMO the only game (not development) server GGG has is the backend one, the rest would be rented cloud space and susceptible to all kinds of issues because of how the internet works. Your first step should be to reset your internet connection by turning off the modem-router for 10 seconds and turning it back on. Your second step is (if you are on PC) is to run a tracert to see where the high ping actually is.

Edit: What GGG should actually do is get Jonathan (who knows and loves talking about servers) to do an interview on how their infrastructure works, so that people that don’t understand can see it’s not GGGs fault (although using another cloud service such as AWS or Azure would certainly help).

Since switching backbone providers I've had almost zero issue with london, however i do think GGG instance servers are not behaving how they sold it in the launch press, i.e. the game will pause with network issues and not just kick you out and rollback and delete the session

There are DDOS attacks, you can tell exactly when it is happening by monitoring ingame latency.

Other then that I strongly disagree its overall getting worse.
That is not the case.
Right now, we have 3 cluster areas for central EU:

1)ping 16ms - FFM
2)ping 29ms - Amster I think
3)ping 35-45ms - this was previosly ping 50+ center, probably switched services like 10 days ago.

When patch 0.2 was deployed, I was playing whole 14 days on 50ms area, even Im FFM login server.
In last 10-14 days the session services were 16-29ms only.
3 days ago, they added the 3rd option again, which is still the worst you can get, when creating new map.

I can only hope, one day, we will be getting the server WE CHOOSE permanently.

Maybe that's why you don't get it's GGG problem since you're an IT guy.

Your partners' / vendors' performance is also your responsibility as a service/product provider.
