Claustrophobic Maps, Brakka
I really like the fox wisps, and am always up for a surprise boss fight. But I just had Brakka, Withered Crone show up on a Forge map, and wow did it shine a light on how frustrating Forge is to play.
Brakka summons large ground aoes that are hard to dodge in her normal wide open arena, and literally (the literal meaning of literally) impossible to dodge on a map as tight as Forge. If you get close to her, she summons that bone tunnel flamethrower, which I found hit me even if my character was far away from the flames in a totally different part of the screen (is this bugged? If not, the attack animation does not match the damage area). Brakka's hitboxes feel pretty rough for how little mobility we have, but the real issue here is the claustrophobic map layouts like forge, mire, and formerly crypt. Creativity by restriction is great, but there are so many deadly monster abilities that go from interesting to eye-rolling when they show up on maps where you can't laterally strafe. Crypt is a good example of a map that feels way better than it used to. I'd love it if the other tight corridor maps got the Crypt treatment. 最後にスレッドがバンプされた時間 時刻 2025/05/09 18:25:55
