Greater Iron Rune doesn't work

It seems that Greater Iron Rune does not increase defences at least on a helmet.

" Before I try going in-game to test this, what's your basis for saying this? If you're trying to increase your Armour/Evasion by putting the rune into a helmet only granting Energy Shield, for example--it doesn't work like that. The rune will only increase the defenses of the helmet itself, and the change should be reflected on the item itself. |
