Sceptre Crashing Game

I have a Stoic Sceptre that crashes the game to desktop when trying to use it.

I cant say for certain but I suspect its to do with the reduced attributes on it.

Sceptre : 40 STR, 103 INT
Grants Skill : Level 18 Discipline : 54 STR, 138 INT

When equip the Discipline skill says I don't have the attributes to use it however I still get the effects of the Aura granting Energy Shield.

Trying to unequip it or slot gems tends to cause total game crash.
