Discarding trash in the backpack feels really frustrating

Is there a shortcut for discarding trash in the backpack? The daily item inspection is so frustrating! To discard one item, I have to do three steps: left-click, drag it out of the inventory, then left-click again. Can we change it to: just drag the item out of the backpack and release the mouse button to discard, or add a shortcut key for direct discard?

However, I prefer using the mouse...... discarding items from the backpack is very troublesome for me.
