More consistent access to lvl81+ content.
I have reached the point in the season where i have a character that is strong enough to play the highest tier content.
What seems strange to me is that the highest tier content in PoE2 is designed to be elusive. And when I am able to play it, I have almost no agency in map or waystone. I have to play what is given, because it so rarely occurs. And this creates odd situations like sitting on 50+ corrupted tier 15 waystones but feeling like waystone sustain is low. Skipping maps I like, that have mechanics I enjoy, because they dont have the mechanics that boost their level. It also seems counter to the design philosophy that has the content far more challenging in lower levels. As im learning the mechanics, finding adequate gear, and trying to get a build online, the difficulty feels imposed. Now that my build is humming and the gear is good it feels like the difficulty is being kept from me. I know a lot of the endgame achievements are centered around bossing, but I find "Monster Level: 82, 0 monsters remain" far more fulfilling. 最後に matma#0311 が 2025/05/13 16:30:18 に編集 最後にスレッドがバンプされた時間 時刻 2025/05/26 15:51:47

Had an idea for more "+1 to monster level of area". Firstly, The Grand Project should be default for tablets/towers. That is a must. Second, the +1 should be 50/50 in corrupted areas so you have incentive to clear those before you cleanse. Once the area is cleansed the +1 flips. Everything that wasnt +1 when it was corrupted becomes +1 when cleansed.
For t16 waystones youve already solved the problem in a way. T1-14 you introduced that killing a map boss drops a waystone one tier higher. You just exted that to upward, but to t16 not to t15. T15 boss still drops t15 waystone, but a t16 boss will drop a corrupted t16. IDK, just stuff I think about when im farming t15 waystones to mostly ruin. EDIT: Also Citadels, Corrupted Nexus', and Unique maps should all be +1 monster level by default. 最後に matma#0311 が 2025/05/26 12:00:02 に編集

+1 Free bumb.
Need more area 81-82 mapping without hard gating it. |

+1
The lack of 81/82 content, together with the heavy XP-gain penalty on high levels (95+), makes the road to 100 a lot harder than trying that in Poe1. I do hope that Logbook buff on 0.2.1 would improve that, but they really should make at least lvl 81 an accessible option for general mapping. |

" Hard gating it wasn't an accident, they intentionally designed the game with stuff like this in mind -- POE 2 is antithetical to what an ARPG is supposed to be. I'm not down for them trying to reinvent the wheel. I want more of the same. Not bad new shit |

Man, what is really driving me fucking nuts...
That vaal orbs can downgrade you map. Ugh.... So many goddam irritating pointless things in this game, it's really hard to enjoy the combat, which i really do like, when every time i turn around, the game is pissing on you. Bad bad bad design decisions here imo. Yea, the punishment was a novelty in POE1, but no where near this extreme, i think its just out of control now. Every direction, every layer, sigh. GGG - Why you no?

" Antithetical to what an ARPG is supposed to be? Sounds like you don't know what an ARPG actually is, because there is nothing about 81-82 content that is antithetical to it. A - Action - Real-time combat instead of turn or menu based combat (think FF). RPG - Roleplaying Game - Stats, skills and gear progression, think D&D. That's it, that's all ARPG means. POE2 has real-time combat, stats, skills and gear that all progress as you go through the game. POE2 is an ARPG. It may not be the style of ARPG you want, but that doesn't change the facts that the genre is defined by very simple requirements and POE2 meets them. |
